About Creative Nail Design

It was an unusual twist of fate that brought a dentist and a nail strengthener together. A manicurist patient of Dr. Stuart Nordstrom pointed out that the odor of a temporary tooth cap was unusually similar to that of the materials used to mold porcelain nails. Inspired and intrigued, Dr. Nordstrom, a chemist by night, set to work creating a product that would strengthen nails. The result was SolarNail® Liquid, a blend of oils and vitamin E formulated to penetrate and protect the nails and surrounding skin. The product was a hit at a local cosmetology school, and it was not long before Creative Nail Design was born. As a family-run business, the company operated out of the Nordstrom's living room.

The company experienced exponential growth throughout the years, as well as the introduction of several nail enhancement products. During the 1990s, the company entered the spa pedicure market, developing the SpaPedicure® system in response to the growing interest in pedicures. This, in addition to a revamped line of nail polish, catapulted Creative Nail Design to the top of the nail industry.

Natural Nail Care

The company likens their extensive collection of nail care products to a "facial treatment" for the hands and nails. Focusing on exfoliating, moisturizing and regular maintenance of the hands and nails, the collection includes the following:

• SpaManicure®: These replenishing, reparative products contain a blend of essential oils from citrus fruits, antioxidants, vitamins and moisturizers.

1. Citrusoak®: This mild hand soak contains a revitalizing citrus fragrance.
2. Exfoliating Crystals: Step one of the brand's exclusive exfoliating system, this blend of crystalline citric acid and vitamin E gently and effectively sloughs off dead skin.
3. Crystal Activator: Step two in the exfoliating system, this rich cream activates the exfoliating crystals and aids in deep moisturizing of the hands.
4. Finishing Lotion: This rich anti-aging treatment keeps hands soft, supple and line-free.

• SolarManicure®: This rich blend keeps cuticles soft and deliciously-scented with sweet almond oil. The SolarManicure® collection is rich in jojoba oil and vitamin E.

1. SolarManicure®: This one-step exfoliating treatment is infused with the properties of SolarOil® Liquid. It moisturizes while reducing the visible signs of aging.
2. SolarButter®: This shea butter-enhanced cream is the richest of hand moisturizers. It also visibly reduces the signs of aging.
3. SolarSilk®: This lightweight hand and body lotion penetrates deeply, sinks in quickly and visibly reduces the signs of aging.
4. SolarSpeed® Spray: This product packs a double punch: it dries nail enamel instantly while delivering light, moisturizing oils to the nails and surrounding skin.

• Marine SpaPedicure®: Sea salt spray, beach sand, marine botanicals, quartz crystals and sea salt collaborate in this collection of tootsie-beautifying treatments.

1. Foot Soaks: The Foaming Sea Soak and Sea Rocks Soak hydrate, refresh, cleanse and rejuvenate the feet. They're particularly relieving after a long day.
2. Sea Salt Glow: This mineral exfoliating scrub quickly and easily sloughs off dead skin from heels and toes.
3. Marine Masque™ and Marine Gel™: Follow up the conditioning, soothing foot masque with a cooling, rejuvenating gel.
4. Massage Oil and Massage Silk: Lubricate the skin for a relaxing massage with the oil or indulge in a rich moisturizing treatment with the oil-free silk.
5. Cucumber Heal Therapy: This rich moisturizing cream is thick, cooling and calming all at once. It relieves extra dry skin dramatically.
