About Olay Pro X

The visionary Olay Pro X line was created in collaboration between a group of renowned dermatologists and Proctor and Gamble scientists known as the Alliance. The goal was to formulate a collection of products that would make an actual difference in the condition of visibly aging skin. The team utilized the latest ingredients, technology and research to create the line, which is designed for daily use. Through the group's combined expertise in biochemistry, dermatology, clinical methods and molecular biology, the Pro X line was formed.

The Scientific Approach

At the center of it all is the lack of function of numerous "bio-chemical" pathways in the skin. Discovered by P&G scientists, these pathways may be inactive or overactive in mature skin while maintaining normal behavior in young skin. This difference can weaken the skin's moisture barrier, which plays a key role in the skin's appearance and overall condition. The Olay Pro X line, then, is formulated to repair weakened moisture barriers in aging skin by increasing the cellular turnover rate. This is accomplished through sloughing off dead skin cells through exfoliation and encouraging the natural production of collagen.

The Pro X Lineup

The Pro X product lineup includes something for anyone with aging skin. If your skin is sensitive, you will want to conduct an initial patch test to rule out the occurrence of side effects. Age Repair Lotion is a lightweight moisturizer infused with SPF 30. Not only does it help shield the skin from harmful ultraviolet rays, it keeps the skin continually hydrated and helps eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The lotion is formulated for daytime use.
Wrinkle Smoothing Cream is formulated to smooth uneven skin, revealing supple texture on the face and neck. It is ideal to use at night.
Hydra Firming Cream locks in moisture, encourages firmness and rebuilds elasticity. This cream is also ideal to use at night.

Specialized Treatments

This small collection is formulated to target various skin issues that may occur due to aging.

Eye Restoration Complex is a veritable under-eye do-it-all: In addition to diminishing the visible signs of aging, it fades dark circles, crow's feet and puffiness, and hydrates the delicate eye area to reveal a fresher, more youthful look.
Deep Wrinkle Treatment is ideal for individuals with deep wrinkles. It contains a high concentration of niacinamide (a smoothing B3 vitamin that acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation spots, blotchiness and fine lines); and pro-retinol (which encourages cell turnover rates, softens skin, boosts the production of collagen and results in soft, glowing skin).
Discoloration Fighting Concentrate is designed to fade the appearance of age spots and brown spots, which are usually the result of an overactive pigmentation. It also intensely hydrates parched skin, contributing to an overall healthier appearance.
