Mavinna, thanks for your question. It's unlikely that an egg white mask will reduce wrinkles, since that's not commonly known as one of its main benefits. Check out the section titled "How Does an Egg White Face Lift Firm Skin" above for more details.
-- Contributed by: Tsharmai used egg wite and egg yolk on my face once a week and i was wondering is it going to reduce wrinkles and make me look younger?
-- Contributed by: V-bByOh, that's great that it works for you, Madison! Thanks for sharing!
-- Contributed by: TsharmaIt works SOOOOOOO good. Trust me. When you take wash it off your skin feels so tight and refreshed. Your probally thinkin..."egg whites?" Its works! If ya havent done it. DO IT =]
-- Contributed by: MadisonGood luck, Free! Hope it works for you.
-- Contributed by: Tsharmai will try it and see for myself
-- Contributed by: freeiffy@yahoo.comNacy, thanks for that comment. It's not true that chemicals will cause the skin to sag, but what is true is that natural ingredients may ultimately be best for the skin, especially those who are sensitive. A few other natural lines include REN, Martina Gebhardt, Suki and Dr. Hauschka.
-- Contributed by: TsharmaChemicals in skincare products will cause your skin to sag in the long run. That because those chemicals dont belong there and impact your skins elasticity. I would definitely recommend the Face firming serum, from Made from Earth. I stopped using it after 6 months because it naturally improved my owns skins ability to tighten and heal itself. . . I went through a bottle a month for 6 months and thats it. I saw a major difference. . .I highly recommend it to anyone who is tired of trying all the different face creams. . .the website is madefromearth.com and its called the Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum. . .
-- Contributed by: Nacy MilliamsCindy, thanks so much for sharing this! It may convince some people to try it. As you said, it can't hurt (although do steer clear if you're allergic to eggs or develop any kind of reaction).
-- Contributed by: TsharmaI was watching Rachel Rae today regarding home facial treatments using eggs. Well I tried it and its fantastic. First you separate a egg. Apply mixed egg yolk on your face until it dries then wipe it off with a warm wet face towel. Then apply the egg white until it drys and towel off with a warm wet face cloth. Its pretty neat because when it dries your face does look younger and smoother. When you rinse it off it is ever so smooth. I think its effective and cheap. Try it- it cant hurt!
-- Contributed by: CindySophie, it's actually a pretty common natural beauty treatment! Notice the egg is usually mixed with a natural emollient to make them even more effective. Some may say applying lotions with unpronounceable ingredients to the face is nuts! We can only do what is best for our individual skin types. For some people, that happens to be applying egg white masks!
-- Contributed by: TsharmaWHAT? YOU ARE NUTS!!!
YOU ARE PUTTING EGG ON YOUR FACE!!
...its almost as ridiculous as putting mud in your hair...
-- Contributed by: Sohpie DaviesEllen, thanks for sharing that!
-- Contributed by: TsharmaI work in a retail store as a sales person and I met a carcasion lady that said she was 62 her skin was smooth and tight like a baby's skin. I asked her what was her scret and she stated she just use egg whites. That was proof to me that it works over a period of time and consistant use.
-- Contributed by: EllenWe're so glad it was helpful, Jen! Thank you for your comment!
-- Contributed by: TsharmaReally great article. My Mom always used egg whites as a facial mask and I have always wondered what was the benefit from it. Many thanks!
-- Contributed by: JenHi Becky. Most homemade beauty products don't have very long shelf lives because they don't contain preservatives. If you keep an egg mask refrigerated, it should stay fresh for at least two or three days. Many sources say it can remain good for up to a week, but a fresh face mask is always best!
-- Contributed by: TsharmaHi If I mix up a mask but dont use it all how long will it keep refrigerated?
