Alaina, no, there's definitely no proof that this is true. If you happen to notice any problems while using it, though, discontinue usage and consult your dermatologist. However, you shouldn't notice any bleaching of the skin.
-- Contributed by: TsharmaDoes the lemon juice make ur skin really white... I heard it bleaches the skin..does that mean its going to make me whole face looked bleached?
-- Contributed by: AlainaCharles, that is great! I'm so glad to hear it's helped you.
-- Contributed by: TsharmaIve been suffering acne for almost 2 years already and iv tried almost all possible cure and prescriptions from derma and over the counter topical solutions, they only made short-term satisfaction. iv been using lemon juice as my deodorant, but it was only now that i tried it on my pimples. it was awesome. though, it takes time to see the result, atleast i can see the effects and im very much satisfied bout it. the lemon juice does not only cure the acne but also the oiliness of my skin...great job!
-- Contributed by: CharlesThat's awesome, Jessy! We are so glad it helped you.
-- Contributed by: Tsharmaomg, i woke up yesterday and there was a huge pimple on my forehead! it looked like mars. >< so i read this and i cut a lemon in half, i took a Q-tip and pushed it into the lemon, then i put the q-tip over the pimple and left it overnight. i woke up today and it shrunk some and reduced in redness! thanks so much, im gonna use it every night before i go to bed! â¥

-- Contributed by: TsharmaLast night, in an act of desperation over my sudden outburst of wicked acne all over my face (which I have NEVER gotten before), I cut open a lemon, squeezed out all the juice, and used a balled-up tissue to apply the juice all over my face, concentrating mainly on saturation the blemishes. I woke up this morning to find that about 70% of the redness had reduced, older scars looking lighter and smaller, some pimples had disappeared, and others had dried up or reduced in size. I would definitely encourage others to try lemon juice. I'm certainly going to continue using lemon juice every night.
-- Contributed by: ChloeThanks for sharing your experience, Pink! Please keep us updated, and definitely discontinue using the lemon if you find it to be too irritating. Hopefully it will work for you.
-- Contributed by: TsharmaWell I started to use lemon on my face. It really stinged the first couple of times. I 've noticed that my acne is drying up. And that I have a lot of blackheads coming out. I don't have really bad acne I just have a lot of blemishes left over. I am going to give this lemon thing a month. But I am being very careful becuase I know that the acid is very strong and can really do a number on your skin. I'll write back in a couple of months.
