Oh, that is such a shame - I'm sorry to hear that. The good news is you can invest in acrylics if you want to fake the look!

-- Contributed by: Enter your name hereDestenye, thanks for your comment! I love the look of long nails, too. I think they're pretty timeless no matter where you live - they may be more chic in a big city, but that doesn't mean you can't get away with a great long nail manicure elsewhere, too.

-- Contributed by: jennyIsn't that the truth, Hannah! A small but growing number of individuals (men and women both, actually) have an interest in extremely long nails. Many people consider them their pride and joy - but maintenance is next to impossible.

-- Contributed by: hannahAli, it's surprisingly easy! You can use a real dollar, but you'll have to cut it of course. Use your best judgment to cut the right size, or use a ruler to measure it against your nail. Coat your nail with a layer of clear polish. Add a very slight hint of clear polish to the side of the bill that will lay flat on your nail. Be careful not to add too much - you don't want to drench your dollar.
While your nail is still wet, position the dollar on the tip, making sure to place it in perfect alignment. This is tricky and may take some practice! Follow up with at least two coats of your favorite top coat. You may find you need more than usual to create an ultra-shiny look, and of course to seal the dollar down. Good luck!
