Jenny, continue with this treatment. I believe tinea versicolor can take a bit of time to clear up, but if you're uncomfortable I recommend seeking the advice of your doctor. Good luck.

Kim, without having too much to go on I can only advise you to keep the area dry and clean, since fungi thrive in moist environments. You may need to visit your dermatologist to seek actual treatment recommendations. Please follow up with further details if you'd like some more information. Best of luck.

Monica, it's quite difficult to say without seeing it - and even then, as we aren't medical professionals we wouldn't be able to diagnose anything. The best advice I can give you is to follow your dermatologist's advice and take your medicine as prescribed. Remember that you must be patient with most skin medications; they do take time to work. If you aren't satisfied, consider seeking a second opinion. Good luck!

Sonia, since this is a recurring problem I'd definitely recommend that you see a dermatologist. The spreading is problematic even if it's not harmful, and you'll want to stop it in its tracks as soon as possible.

Good luck.

4-5 yrs ago i used to have this "cauliflower" like fungus on my neck but it disappeared by itself. Now i got them on my inner thighs..its darker than my skin color,no itching,no pain, nothing,,,but it seems to spread. i dont even know what it's called. what should i do?

Noella, it could be a simple rash. Keep your showers short and lukewarm, apply an unscented moisturizer to the area and see if the patches persist. If so, consult with your dermatologist. Good luck.
