Vanessa, you aren't alone! That's actually a rather common problem. You might want to visit a dermatologist, who can apply a bleaching preparation which will effectively stop your skin cells from producing pigment. The downside is that you will probably still experience dark pigmentation from time to time over the years, so you'll require touch ups to keep it looking the same.

Use sunscreen at all times and try to avoid aggressive hair removal methods (such as the cream you currently use). A better option would be permanent laser removal, which is less irritating to the surface of the skin. Good luck!

I am a hispanic woman and I have a dark shadow across my upper lip even though I use hair removal cream and I have no hair I still have a shadow, I'm light skin and it really stands out since I have dark hair. What can I use that works but that it isn't expensive?
