Most people have ingredients for homemade acne treatments in their kitchens or medicine cabinets. For example, plain white toothpaste can dry pimples overnight when dabbed on the offending spots.
Cinnamon Honey Mask
Add a teaspoon of cinnamon to one cup of honey. Apply this mask before bed. Leave it on for 30 minutes. Raw honey works best.
Use a spoon to crush five tablets. Add a teaspoon of water to make a paste. Scrub your face and let the paste set for 20 minutes to dry out oil.
Oatmeal makes a great exfoliating scrub. Slowly add water to two cups of dry oatmeal until it forms a thick paste. Smooth it over your face and wipe it off with a wet washcloth.
Tea Tree Oil Mask
Add a drop of tea tree oil to one cup of aloe vera gel. Apply it to your face for a nourishing antibacterial mask. Rinse your face and towel dry.
Cucumber Moisturizing Cleanser
Peel a cucumber and liquefy it in the food processor. Apply the liquid to your acne and then rinse it off. It makes a good moisturizing treatment.
Lemon Homemade Acne Tratments
Use lemon juice for two different treatments. Apply it directly to your skin with a cotton ball for an astringent or mix it with purified water first for a gentler breakout remedy.
Garlic and Vinegar Wash
Mix garlic juice with white vinegar in equal parts to help reduce inflammation and redness. Splash the mixture on your face and rinse it off immediately. It may not smell very good, but it is effective.
Peel a raw papaya and use the juice to wash your face. It can reduce inflammation and soothe the skin. Be sure to remove the seeds first.
Baking Soda Paste
Mix two teaspoons of water with a teaspoon of baking soda. Apply this paste to acne-affected areas only. Wash it off as soon as it dries!
